Freddie’s new friend

Freddie has been missing Ava and Poppy since their move to warmer climes, but he’s recently been introduced to a new friend…ZOE!

New friend

As you can see from this picture Freddie is delighted to have someone new to look after. Like any good friend, Freddie likes to give gentle encouragement, never bullies or expects too much. He’s respectful but he also likes to have fun and can be a bit cheeky. He tests Zoe to see how far he can go, but he is very quick to realise if Zoe is worried and tries his best to reassure her.

This week was the first time that Zoe plucked up enough courage to get on board, but in no time Freddie and Zoe were on to pole work in the school!

Freddie was extremely proud of his new rider and pleased with himself – you don’t know how hard it is for Freddie to be extra-good!

It looks like Zoe was very happy too.

Buckle and Hattie meet new friends in ‘The Horse with Big Hair’ by Sally Burrell. A wonderful rhyming story, of a huge horse with an enormous mane and tail that requires a lot of looking after.
