After moving to Cornwall Bethany finds it hard to settle in and make friends. Everything changes one wet, winter evening when she finds a pony, trapped in wire on Bodmin Moor. In helping to save the pony Bethany makes some good friends, learns to ride and after some challenges, enjoys what turns out to be the ‘Best summer ever.’
One Good Turn is a wonderful story that captures life in rural England, the characters are typical of pre-teens and teenagers of today’s generation. It is clearly set in the twenty-first century, but the story is a traditional one that pony-lovers of all ages will relate to.
